Counselors

A robust school counseling program is essential to assist in the development of every child. Elementary and middle school students are developing their sense of self and building confidence in who they are academically and socially. St. Louis School is blessed to have professional school counselors focused on supporting students. They work in partnership with students, teachers, parents, and school administration in order to promote student success through self confidence, social skills, conflict resolution, and advocating for one's learning needs.

Elementary School Counselor

Mrs. Laura Brookman

Mrs. Laura Brookman is our elementary school counselor. She is trained in learning strategies, child development, self management, and social skills. She often teaches in the classroom to help elementary students express compassion and kindness with their classmates.

Middle School Counselor

Mrs. Amy Jandhyala

Mrs. Amy Jandhyala is the St. Louis School middle school counselor and Illuminations Coordinator. Mrs. Jandhyala holds a master of science in guidance counseling and has more than ten years experience working in education, most recently in the diocese of Arlington.

“Bullying, harassment and intimidation” means intentional conduct, including written, verbal, or physical conduct or an intentional electronic communication that occurs on school property, at a school activity or event, or on a school bus, or substantially disrupts the orderly operation of the school.
